This is the Infiniti FX50 concept revealed ahead of its debut at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show.
The special-edition version of the luxury SUV has been designed in collaboration with Formula One driver Sebastian Vettel, its global company ambassador.
Cementing the brand’s link with the Red Bull Racing F1 team, the exterior design will feature a fresh grille similar to that of recent Infiniti concepts, including the Etherea shown at Geneva earlier in the year, and the revised FX50 that appeared at Pebble Beach this month.
Others enhancements include an aggressive carbon fibre front-splitter shaped to mimic an F1 car and a fixed rear wing. A new pair of LED running lights are mounted on the darkened front bumper, and an enormous set of bespoke black alloys completes the look.
Infiniti describes Vettel's design as a 'performance concept', suggesting power and torque increases over the top-of-the-range 385bhp FX50.
Pearl White paintwork, unique badging and carbon-fibre detailing will all feature, while a recent teaser video starring Vettel suggests that the interior could get an F1-inspired steering wheel, and plenty of extra Carbon trim for a racecar feel.
Prices have yet to be announced, but expect the extra kit on-board to push the price over the standard car's £58,000 price tag, and it may also be built in limited numbers.
Infiniti will be attending its first Frankfurt Motor Show with a bold six-year growth plan, just three years after arriving in Europe. Its ambitious plans include taking 10 per cent of the global luxury market by 2016 and a rapid expansion plan set to see a boost in the number of dealerships, with the UK getting around 40.
The Infiniti stand will also feature the world’s fastest accelerating hybrid, the Infiniti M35h, as well as the rest of the production car line-up.
