Subject: Thank You Infiniti For Saving My Daughter's and Granddaughter's Life
 
“Once in a while we must stop what we’re doing in our busy lifestyle and give credit where credit is due.  This is a good news short story about your Infiniti 2008 G35 Journey Sedan.
 
On January 5th, my daughter and granddaughter  were “rear ended” in their Infiniti by a 2006 Ford Explorer in a small community just outside Denton, Texas.  Jenna was sitting behind another car waiting to turn left on a 2-lane highway and the Explorer hit her dead center from behind traveling at approximately 60-70 mph. As always, Jenna had her seatbelt on, and Saedee (2 yrs old) was properly strapped in the backseat in her car seat—just inches away from the crash.
 
Upon impact, the car was totally destroyed.  My “kids” were knocked around a bit and sustained relatively minor injuries compared to what would have happened in many other vehicles (both had cuts, bruises and Jenna had some leg & an internal  injuries that were more serious, but are getting better every day). By all rights, it is a miracle that both weren’t critically injured or killed. You’ll know what I mean when you see the pictures I attached that were taken the next day by Jenna’s husband.
 
It is a devastating scene; but a potent reminder of how well your car is built. 
 
Bottom Line:  Thank you, Infiniti, for producing a car that did its safety job when called on.  The crumple zone worked; the shock of the impact was sent down the sides of the vehicle—like it was supposed to do. The air bags deployed as designed.  Note the car’s interior still looks like it was hardly touched….amazing. Jenna and her husband don’t make a lot of money in their jobs, as they are just starting out….but they made a conscious decision to buy quality and safety first when they bought their first Infiniti. What a solid investment it turned out to be.
 
I am just thankful to be writing you rather than composing one or two obituaries in the local paper and burying my loved ones."
